Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 1: Former Minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma criticized the Union Territory Administration’s decision of scrapping the recruitment process of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and demanded immediate rollback of the order. Expressing shock and dismay over the ordeal the aspirants had been going through following the scrapping of the recruitment process, Manohar said the undue delay in the whole process has already put scores of aspirants and their families through fear and now administration’s decision of scrapping the recruitment process of 250 probationary officers and 1,200 banking associates that started in 2018 due to various “legal infirmities” and further announcement of fresh recruitment has come as a shock to the thousands of aspirants as majority of the aspirants had given up their jobs elsewhere in the country to appear for the exams. He said the decision has come as a shock to us as just few days back, the news were coming that the result will be out sooner and now all of sudden we learnt about the government’s decision, of scrapping recruitment process.
Manohar further said on one side administration was talking about proving 50000 jobs in J&K UT and on the other hand playing with future of educated unemployed youth by taking such decisions. Dr sharma demanded immediate roll back of such decision in order to restore faith and confidence in the youth. Manohar welcomed the recruitment drive conducted by Power grid at NIT Srinagar and said these steps are good in upbringing the youth but said the same should have been done in different engineering colleges in Jammu region also .
