Four OGWs of AGH arrested, arms & ammunition recovered | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 1: Security forces on Sunday arrested four Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of militant outfit Ansarul Ghazwatul Hind (AGH) and recovered arms and ammunition from them in central Kashmir district of Budgam. A police spokesperson said that acting on a specific information, a joint team of police and Army arrested four OGWs and seized arms and ammunition and other incriminating material from their possession. “The OGWs were identified as Mir Muzamil Nabi, Umar Ajaz Ahangar, both residents of Kanihama, Raouf Ahmad Bhat and Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, residents of Kantebagh SK Pora,” he said. He said on preliminary enquiry it was found that these people are affiliated with Ansarul Ghazwatul Hind and involved in providing shelter and logistic support to militants. “In this regard case under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Magam and investigation taken up,” he said, adding the accused are being questioned and more arrests could happen in coming days. |
