Admin directs govt, private schools to combat students about Coronavirus | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 5: The Jammu and Kashmir government has directed private and government institutes of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain proper cleanliness and create awareness among the student to combat corona virus. Issuing a circular, Directorate of School Education Jammu and Kashmir it read, “All of us are aware that cases of Noval Coronavirus have been reported recently in certain parts of the country and government of Jammu and Kashmir (UT) has also issued necessary directions for making efforts for effective control of Coronavirus across the Union Territory”. It added, “Keeping in view, all Chief Education Officers are requested to direct HOIs of government and private schools to take necessary measures of cleanliness as well as awareness among students to combat Novel Coronavirus menace by adopting following SOP”. The SOP include frequent hand wash with soap and water (HOIS to ensure proper hand washing facility to be available in all schools), Observe good personal Hygiene, Cover mouth and nose with bent elbow or tissue while sneezing and coughing, throw used tissues into closed bins immediately after use, stay away from school when sick. It further include stay away from public gatherings, don’t get in close contact with anyone, if you are experiencing cough and fever, don’t split in public, avoid travels to farms or live animal markets where animals are slaughtered. As such, all the CEO’s are further requested to disseminate the directions to all the schools for the implementation of the aforementioned SOP in letter and spirit. Any child with signs and symptoms i.e fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing should be refer to authorized local medical authority and parents of the concerned child should be immediately contacted. |
