Early Times Report

Srinagar, Mar 5: Former PDP leader and minister Altaf Bukhari led new political outfit named as ‘Apni Party’ will be launched formally on March 8 at Srinagar.
“We will be officially launching the ‘Apni Party’ in Srinagar on March 8,” Bukhari telephonically here told agencies
He said, “After the official launch, we will hold a press conference and after 4 to 5 days, we will be interacting with media in Jammu”.
“The party will be floated along with some of our colleagues, who all are prominent,” he said and added that before that on March 7, a core group meeting will be held to hold deliberations on certain matters.
On being asked about the participation of senior PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Mr Bukhari said that he is a patron of PDP.
As per political sources, the new members of ‘Apni Party’ are of opinion that the parties like National Conference and People’s Democratic Party have shown too many ‘golden dreams’ to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“As its immediate goal, the new political party would strive for the restoration of J&K statehood,” they added.
