Vishal Khatri Sabha hails initiatives of LG Murmu

JAMMU, Mar 5: Vishal Khatri Sabha on Thursday organised the meeting to discuss the current political and developmental scenario of J&K.The meeting was chaired by president of Vishal Khatri Sabha Devinder Seth who appreciated various initiatives taken by Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu in J&K.Asserting that constitutional changes have opened new vistas of development in Jammu and Kashmir, Seth appealed Lt Governor G C Murmu for gearing up Administrative machinery in supplementing the initiatives for rapid growth and development of the Union Territory. He expressed the hope that various initiatives taken by LG will take Jammu and Kashmir on the path of rapid growth and development as envisioned by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the legal architecture and system prevailing in the rest of the country will now apply to Jammu and Kashmir.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir now stand on the same pedestal as those in the rest of the country with the same rights, benefits and prospects," he said. The constitutional changes have opened new vistas of development. Govt need to capitalise on the opportunities. The initiatives already taken for putting Jammu and Kashmir on the path of sustained development must be given a further push," he said. However, he said the efforts of the government alone cannot make a difference and people of the UT "need to come forward and supplement the initiatives of the government. He maintained that technical education has an essential role to play in providing skill development and employment in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Govt should roll out a clear policy focusing on employability aspect in technical education and skill development.
