RAMBAN, Mar 5: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today addressed a press conference followed by a meeting to discuss the preparedness for combating Corona virus.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Ramban, Haseeb-ur-Rehman CMO, Dr. Janak Raj, Medical Superintendent District Hospital (DH) Ramban, Dr. Vinod Kumar, CPO, Dr. Kasturi, Xens of PDD, PHE, EO Municipality, CEO, Dy.SP Traffic, Ajay Anand, PRIs, Anganwadi Supervisors, ASHA workers besides other concerned officers.
DDC informed in a presser that district administration is taking all necessary measures for combating corona virus and health department is well prepared to deal with any emergency regarding Corona virus.
Urging Public to not panic, he appealed to the public to maintain their personal hygiene and sanitation and to apply all measures suggested by the Health department to prevent from deadly Corona virus. He asked the public to not to pay any heed to rumours to avoid panic in this regard.
Keeping in view the Novel Corona virus DDC appealed to the general public, who have travel history to 12 identified countries including China, Iran or Middle East to come forward for self-reporting to the nearest health centre if they experience any symptoms of respiratory diseases and to inform their treating doctor.
During the meeting preparatory measures were discussed for detection of Corona Virus at the early stage, among the suspected patients, if any.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner directed the CMO to sensitize doctors about the preparedness and to spread general awareness among people through different mediums of information, distribution of Posters and Pamphlets listing dos and Don'ts for Corona Virus.
Meantime Medical Superintendent gave a detail presentation about Corona Virus and the preparedness of the health department to combat the infection. A live demonstration video was also screened to educate the participants.
