Jammu, Mar 5: A Kavi darbar was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages in collaboration with Govt. Degree College, Nowshera. Sukhdev Singh Sambyal, ADC was the chief guest and Babu Ram Choudhary, Tehsildar was the guest of honour on this occasion. Anupama Sharma, I/C Principal of College and S. Popinder Singh, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi of JKAACL shared the dais. Students of Punjabi Department of the College, Jasvinder Kour, Manmeet Kour, Jatinderpal Singh, Ramneek Kour, Simranjeet Kour, Amanpreet Kour, Harbhajan Singh, Manpreet Singh, Inderpal Kour, Harpreet Kour, Sukhvinder Singh and Prince Singh recited their poetry dedicated to the life and principles of Guru Nanak dev Ji. Well known poets Jang S. vermin, H S Upashak, Suraj Singh Suraj, Dr. Harbhajan Singh and Gurjeet Singh also recited their poetry on the life and principles of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Speaking on this occasion, Sh. Sukhdev Singh Sambyal appreciated the efforts of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages and Punjabi Deptt. of Degree College, Nowshera for organizing a qualitative Kavi Darbar where students ad well known poets of the state recited their poetry elaborating the life & principles of Guru Nanak dev Ji. He said that one should inculcate values in on;s life in the light of great Guru who has influenced a wide range of communities. Earlier S. Popinder Singh Paras welcomed the guests and poets. He also deliberated on the life and legend of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sukhwinder Singh and Dr. Harbhajan Singh. Gurjeet Singh extended vote of thanks.
