EARLY TIMES REPORT

RAJOURI, Mar 7: LPG Gag Agencies in Rajouri have allegedly been supplying domestic LPG gas cylinders to many business establishments instead of commercial gas cylinders and denying supply to general public showing fake shortage.
Sources told Early Times that the malpractice has been going on in Rajouri town particularly by two Gas Agencies, which have been found indulging in supply of domestic gas cylinders to hotels, restaurants, bakery shops etc.
“Due to this malpractice, there is huge crisis of domestic LPG gas availability has arisen and general public has been suffering a lot. I
n order to show shortage to the public, Gas Agencies allegedly take off seals of filled domestic gas cylinders to show public that these are empty cylinders, which later are sold to hotels in the town,” they said.
The black marketing of domestic gas cylinders by Gas Agencies has been defeating the Modi’s campaign of use of clean fuel instead of wood fire which emanates smoke and gives birth to many respiratory diseases, they alleged further adding that even the concerned authorities seem least bothered to take note of this nexus between Gas Agencies and Hotels, which indicates that they deliberately keep mum due to their personal interests.
The locals of Rajouri, expressing their anger on this malpractice, appealed to Lieutenant Governor to take note of the issue and urged him to direct the concerned officers to take action so that common masses may not suffer more due to shortage of LPG supply.
