| Man held with drugs in Sunderbani | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 7: Foiling a drugs smuggling bid, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a man in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district.
Police said that a team headed by Station House Officer Sunderbani, Sanjeev Slathia under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza was on routine patrolling in the area when a pedestrian was signaled to stop for routine query in this lock down period. However, the said man made an attempt to run away from the spot but was caught by the alert cops and during frisking, ten grams of drugs powder like substance was recovered from his possession after which he have been arrested. The accused identified as Nisar Ahmed son of Abdul Ghani resident of Chandimarh Poonch, at present Nabban Mohalla area of Rajouri town whereas a case in FIR 39/20 under sections 8/21 NDPS has been registered against him in Sunderbani police station and further investigation is going on.
