Jammu, Apr 7: Contesting news being shared on social media platforms about the arrest of one Bashir Ahmed from Paloura by SHO Janipur, a Police Officer said that it is clarified that a complaint was received in police station alleging spitting by one Bashir Ahmed.
“On this, a Medical team along with Magistrate and Police immediately reached the spot and the person was taken to quarantine facility after collecting the sample to rule out any apprehension”, the officer said, adding that reports regarding arrest of the individual is incorrect.
“Detailed inquiry into the incident to check truth about allegations is going on. We request people to not pay attention to any rumours and not believe in conclusive and judgemental statements of anti social elements when the case is under inquiry.
Be responsible citizens and stop spreading rumours or fake news”, the officer added.
