Jammu, Apr 7: Jammu Police today clarified that no weapon snatching incident has happened in Bathindi as being circulated by some rumor mongers.
“It is reported that one fake news is being circulated on social media platforms that “Four held for trying to snatch weapon from Cop in Bathindi.
It is clarified that no such incident of weapon snatching took place in Bathindi”, a senior Police Officer said, adding that however Police has taken cognizance against some miscreants for brutally assaulting one policeman of PP Bathindi and registered FIR under relevant sections of law.
“We request people, not to believe and pay attention to such fake news or rumours”, the officer said.
