Fact check: No patient stopped at Bathindi, says Police | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 7: Refuting social media reports that Police has stopped a patient going SMGS Hospital, a Police spokesperson said that a video has been uploaded on Facebook page in which family members of one accused has been seen making baseless allegations against Bathindi Police. They alleged that police stopped their car for 1.5/2 hours at the Naka and they could not reach Hospital on time as a result. “It is clarified that on 05/04/20 at around 9:35 p.m. Sgct Manzoor Hussain no. 948/J of PP Bhatindi while on duty was beaten brutally by Faisal son of Farooq Ahmed resident of Doda at present Mominabad, Bhatindi and three others at Mominabad, Bhatindi. In this regard Case FIR No. 103/2020 u/s 353/382/323/271/188/34 IPC registered at PS Bahu Fort”, the spokesperson said. The spokesperson further said that during the course of investigation it is found that car being used by SgCt Manzoor was stuck in the road due to heavy rain. while he was trying to take his car out, two to three persons came out of a car (registration no JK02 AB 1999) hurled abuses and brutally assaulted for not giving way to their car and left him injured on the spot. Subsequently, the car was stopped at the next Naka point for checking as the area was under lockdown. During checking it was found that there was one lady patient aboard due to which they were allowed to move to the Hospital immediately. The car reached the hospital in about 20 minutes from Bhatindi to SMGS hospital. No delay in reaching the hospital happened due to checking at the police naka. Investigation of the case is going on
