Jammu, Apr 10: In order to encourage the use of masks, the women social activist in remote Padder Sub Division of Kishtwar District under the banner of Himalayan Buddhist Culture Society distributed free masks among various sections of the society. As per the details available with Early Times, Padma Lotta, Vice President Himalayan Buddhist Culture Society take lead by engaging local women social activist in preparing the masks for distribution.
Speaking to Early Times, Padma Lotta said that they prepared one thousand masks and distributed them among the society members, police, medical employees, shopkeepers. She said that all the masks were distributed free of cost and society bear all the expenses spent on stitching of masks.
The society also made door to door awareness about the ill effects of COVID 19 and advice the people to use sanitation, social distancing and to encourage stay safe-Stay Home.
