Sewa Bharti's various units' manufacturing more than five thousand masks daily | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, April 12 : Amid lockdown to combat coronavirus Sewa Bharti has started manufacturing of face masks at war footing to meet out the shortage of masks in UT of Jammu Kashmir . Sewa Bharti will manufacture 50 thousand masks within a week. Various organizations of Sewa Bharti are making masks at different places. One of the such organization Athroot which was founded by Sewa Bharti some months ago under the women empowerment project is making face masks at war footing at Jagti Nagrota. Sewa Bharti is manufacturing Masks at its various facilities at Jagti, Pounichak and Muthi. Women volunteers of Sewa Bharti are making thousands of masks at Self help group at Muthi and Drishti kanya Shatrawas at Pounichak in Jammu. Sonia, Ruchi, Jigmit, Shazia, Shakti from Drishti Shatrawas pounichak told that "due to lockdown their schools are closed, sitting idle at their hostel they started stitching masks which will be distributed among the people who are still without masks ", Students of Drishti Hostel and Mahila Swayamsevaks also stitching masks for distribution among the general public. Veena, who is also stitching the masks at Athroot centre told that " work of stitching masks starts in ten in the morning and till late in the evening we stitches about thousand of masks in sanitized conditions." As the coronavirus pandemic is spreading day by day, Athroot has taken the task to manufacture the face masks for the general public which are being distributed by the Sewa Bharti Sankat Mochan Dal volunteers to the people along with relief material. |
