Jammu, Apr 15 : Police on Wednesday registered FIR against a man who reached his native village in Samba district after cross the J&K UT through prohibited Red Zones. Police spokesman here said that FIR was lodged against person who was reached home at Mangu Chack, Rajpura from Ambala, Haryana crossing various prohibited Red Zones enroute his journey. He said that acting on reliable information that a person was travelling from Ambala to Ghagwal amidst lockdown across the country, Police Party at Police Station Ghagwal swung into action and traced out the delinquent person namely Swaran Singh of Mangu Chack and immediately put to Quarantine Centre Shivam Resort, Ghagwal with the assistance of Health Department. On questioning, he disclosed that he was trying to reach home after taking lift in a truck carrying essential commodities from Ambala, Haryana. “The quarantined person knows that the disease is dangerous to life but despite that he negligently done act by travelling from Ambala, Haryana to Ghagwal, crossed various Red Zones all the way, hiding his travel history, thereby putting at risk the lives of his family members and general public at large,” he added. He negligently and malignantly promoted spreading of infectious and contagious disease COVID-19 dangerous to human beings while a case has been registered and investigation started. |
