JAMMU, Apr 21: Corporator Ward 60 Rajni Bala and J&K Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib on Tuesday continued distribution of free ration to the needy in Jammu as part of relief amid the lockdown. The distributed ration among more than 200 families of Paloura area here today keeping in mind the social distancing norms.
Rajni Bala urged the people to strictly obey government advisories and appealed to them to follow social distancing norms. In order to fight this pandemic, people have to abide by certain guidelines and restrictions, she asserted. She emphasized that Congress is distributing relief in the most neglected areas which are in dire need of help.
Uday said that the relief distribution will continue in near future till the lockdown is completed. He urged people to cooperate with the government and maintain social distancing besides remaining at their homes to combat spread of coronavirus, as without cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results besides making India free from COVID-19. He also appealed to the people to come forward to donate ration and other essential items so that a large number of families, in distress, may be covered and provided ration items as an interim relief. |
