Mother India Sr Sec School RS Pura hold online meeting of teachers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 1: An online meeting of the teaching faculty of Mother India Sr. Sec. School, R S Pura was held by the Principal of the School, Sonia Tohra, to discuss the progress of online classes being conducted in view of the lockdown due to pandemic disease COVID-19. In the beginning of the meeting, the teachers shared their experiences with the Principal and said that the online teaching is really a new and wonderful experience of teaching. Although it cannot be a complete substitute of class room teaching yet at this juncture of time when the whole world is under lockdown, it is the best medium to provide reach out to the students. When asked about the feedback of the students the Principal was told that 2G speed of the internet is a big hurdle in online teaching and hundred percent motive of the online teaching and learning may not be achieved until and unless 4G network is restored in the UT. They also informed that since the school is located in RS Pura town and maximum number of students of the school hail from the border belts of Suchetgarh, Abdullian, Sai and Arnia sectors, it is nearly impossible for the students to go online as they are disconnected from rest of the world due to non-availability of mobile networks. They informed that there are some villages in the area where even voice call is not possible due to non-availability of mobile towers leaving aside the 2G or 4G Network. So the students of these areas are not able to attend the classes. Sonia Tohra expressed her concern for those students whose studies are suffering due to non-availability of mobile networks. She directed the teachers to make a proper record of those students who could not attend the online classes so that they may be provided lectures at the later stage when the school reopens after the lockdown is over. |
