JAMMU, May 7: THE–SARA’ provided assistance to a migrant worker who delivered child in a slum in Sainik Colony Jammu. On May 6 Dhuli Chand a migrant worker from Chattarpur Madhya Pradesh putting up in a slum located in Sainik Colony Jammu contacted women helpline 181 that his wife Babli has delivered a girl child in a Jhuggi on May 4th and he requested for Rations & other assistance for her wife. Women Helpline 181 promptly shared the issue with authorities and other social organizations. THE–SARA took up the charge and delivered much needed assistance to the family of the Migrant worker. Relief kit comprised of wheat flour, rice, pulses, cooling oil, ghee, salt, sugar, chilli powder, turmeric powder and tea. Along with Ration items high protein diet, dry fruits, multi-vitamins and sanitary pads were also provided to a mother.
It is pertinent to mention ‘THE – SARA’ under ‘Covid-19 Relief Mission 2020’ has supported more than 500 families across Jammu district since the imposition of Covid Lockdown across the country.
