Jammu, May 9: Working journalists of Jammu, both from Print and Electronic Media, today paid floral tributes to veteran photo-journalist Prem Gupta on his second death anniversary. A two-minute silence was observed in the memory of Prem Gupta who was associated with Punjab Kesri Hindi national newspaper. Speaking on the occasion, Senior Journalist, Dinesh Mahajan described late Prem Gupta as a thorough professional man who never compromised with professional ethics while performing his duties. Mahajan said that he (Prem) was not only known for his professionalism but also for his participation in social activities besides getting always ready to help the needy. Senior photo journalist Sohan Karlupia recalled his closeness with late Prem Gupta and said that he performed his duty till last moment of his life with utmost zeal and dedication. He described his departure as untimely and great loss to journalism in Jammu region. Later, food was served among needy people in the memory of photo journalist Prem Gupta. Senior photo journalist Afzal Shah, Pradeep Bakshi, Naresh Bhagat, Sewa Ram, Aman Sharma, Mir Imran, Rohit Sharma, Uttam Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, dinesh Sudan and Balkar Karlupia also spoke on the occasion. |
