Jammu, May 9: Assistant Professors, who have completed their probation period and are awaiting confirmation, were recently directed by the Higher Education Department to submit the integrity certificates, which they have already submitted. Sources told Early Times that Higher Education Department recently issued an order asking around 232 APs to submit their integrity certificate to Director Colleges. “APs had submitted these certificates with the Director Colleges soon after the completion of their probationary period. The department without inquiring about it issued an abrupt order putting APs in great distress amid lockdown. Most of the APs are stuck in various districts of the region and cannot cross into other districts,” sources added. Pertinently, 1629 posts of APs were filled around two years ago in various colleges and after completion of the probation period, department issued a list of confirmation of jobs of 1000 APs and rest of the APs are awaiting confirmation orders. When Early Times contacted Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez, he said, “It is a routine order and the names mentioned in the list will have to submit their integrity certificates.” |
