Cyclists appeal LG to emphasize on use of bicycle | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 9: Bicycle for Change (JK) Kathua (A group of cyclists) have appealed the Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu to consider bicycling after lockdown to limit physical contact among people and to prevent and slow down the pandemic. Sunil Sharma of the Group says that in the time of pandemic and lockdown the whole world is stand still and the other side nature has revived itself with clean air, river, and less pollution and its duty for all to change the life style and take positive steps to break down the chain. He appeals to promote the cycling culture with the help of like-minded organisation as cycling may be used for transporting commodities and used as mode of transport. “It also helps to control pollution and traffic jam as this is the major problem of every town and city”, Sharma said, and appealed the central government to consider the cycle path way in the newly sanctioned express way in Jammu and Kashmir.
