Three years on MGNREGA workers yet to get wages | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, May 13: Despite the tall claims of government of providing two crore jobs every year, it has come to the fore that due wages for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) workers are pending in Udhampur. Ankush Bardhwaj contractor said that three years ago he constructed a lane near Peer Baba Jakhani area but till date he along with his labour have not received the payment. He said that former MLA, higher officers assured that the payment would be released but that has not been done so far. |
