| PDP pursuing separatist, communal agenda to replace Hurriyat ! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 13: After her Public Safety Act (PSA) has been extended for three months, PDP supremo Mehbooba Mufti has appeared to be given message to her party leadership to adopt aggressive posture to replace fundamentalist and radical Hurriyat Conference.
Recent statements issued by PDP leaders and tweets from the account of Mehbooba Mufti clearly indicated that party leadership has decided to complete with Hurriyat Conference by pursuing separatist and communal agenda.
Credible sources in the PDP said that party leadership has realized statements given by Mehbooba Mufti after her detention under PSA, possibility of her alliance with any national level party was impossible because even party like Congress could not dare to enter into any open understanding with PDP. “Now PDP leadership is left with no other option but to toe communal and separatist agenda to remain active”, sources said and added that Jammu based leaders have already given a message that party is not going to remain in the mainstream.
Credible sources further revealed that most of the mass base leaders of the party have already left PDP and now only family members and loyalists of Mehbooba have remained in the party. Without absence of mass base leaders, sources said, it was impossible to run the party so PDP leaders has decided to join separatist camp to create political space there. |
