| NPP leader opposes decision of making quarantine centres in residential areas | | |

Jammu, May 18: Former legislator and National Panthers Party (NPP) President Balwant Singh Mankotia today lambasted the decision of district administration of making the quarantine centre in the heart of city Udhampur and in the residential areas.
In issued statement today, Mankotia said that during this pandemic locals of Udhampur are fully cooperating with Government, but the dictatorial attitude of Administration of making the Quarantine Centres in residential areas is completely unacceptable. He said that few days back also the decision of making quarantine centres in residential area was strongly resented by the locals of Tikri & Malhar area of Udhampur.
Mankotia said that administration should also consult local Councillors, Sarpanchs, Political Leaders, NGO’s before taking such decision. He also appealed the JK UT Government to conduct the sample test of the arriving stranded persons In their respective home districts in order to reduce the health risk of our frontline workers.
Mankotia warned of strict opposition if the decision is not withdrawn soon.
