Srinagar, May 18: Video of a man urging his brother and other militants to shun the path of violence and return home has gone viral on social media sites, including Facebook, and Twitter. In the over 3-minute-long video, a man identified himself as Ajaz Ahmad Hafiz, a resident of Pulwama in south Kashmir, and appeals militants to shun militants and indulge in dialogue, which is according to him is ‘the only way to resolve problems’. “Through this video, I would like to give a message to the youth of Kashmir valley, who have joined militant ranks. I request you all to shun the path of violence as all issues could be resolved through dialogue. Your family members are eagerly waiting for you,” Ajaz said in the viral video. He said he would particularly urge his younger brother Adil Hafiz, who is missing since August 4, 2019, to return home. “Your parents are waiting for you,” he said. “Who are you fighting for? The people in the valley are divided into different sects and have affiliations to different political parties,” he added.
