EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 9: Charging administration of the Union Territory (UT) with pursuing anti-youth policy, Senior Congress leader and Ex-President of Pradesh Youth Congress, Pranav Shagotra today warned that youth of J&K will oppose such policies tooth and nail. In a statement issued today, Shagotra regretted that the situation in J&K was worsening with every passing day and those at the helm of the affairs appeared to be non-serious in solving compounding woes of the people. “J&K has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to prevailing chaos and anarchy”, he said and regretted that the common masses in J&K have been abandoned by the ruling elites. Regretting that UT administration has done nothing to solve problems of youth, Ex-PYC president said that new recruitment rules were nothing but a cruel joke with the educated unemployed youth of J&K, who were hoping that the new dispensation will take some effective steps to minimize their problems. Congress leader demanded modification in the recruitment rules and repealing of discriminatory SRO-202, which is anti-youth. He regretted that the youth of J&K have been agitating against SRO-202 but authorities are still in a deep slumber. He made it clear that the recruitment notification issued by the government on June 4 has dashed all hopes of the educated unemployed youth. He recalled that after August 5, 2019, the government has been claiming to create 50,000 new jobs but only a few posts have been created by the authorities so far. Shagotra said that without repealing SRO-202, recruitment is nothing but a cruel joke with youth. Seeking the withdrawal of the SRO-202 and modification of new rules, he warned the government against testing the patience of the unemployed youth of the UT. |
