JKAP concerned over under development in villages of Salmari Panchayat | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
VIJAYPUR, June 13: Concerned over underdevelopment in villages, former minister and Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) senior leader Manjit Singh today appealed administration to ensure road connectivity and drinking water facility for the villagers in Salmari Panchayat. During his visit to village Pekhdi in Panchayat Halka, Salmari of block Vijaypur, former minister Manjit Singh was accompanied by large numbers of locals. The J&K Apni Party leader was appraised by the locals about problems they are facing in view of lack of developmental activities in their villages. Hardly few km away from the Jammu-Pathankot highway, the senior J&K Apni Party leader, Manjit Singh said that the village is facing administrative ignorance from the concerned departments. “The people have demanded a construction of culvert so that they can get in their fields. The lanes in bad condition and drains are not clean. People facing shortage of drinking water supply,” said Manjit Singh after meeting people in Salmari Panchayat. He appealed the government especially the local administration to provide ensure construction of a culvert, and drinking water supply to the poor farmers in these villages.
