Bhalwal raise voice against establishment of Toll Plaza on Akhnoor Road 6/13/2020 9:17:09 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT akhnoor, June 13: Local leadership of Bhalwal block has raised their voice against administration of UT Jammu and Kashmir for the purported move to set up a Toll Plaza on Akhnoor Road. BDC Chairperson Kuldeep Raj, Sarpanch Gharota Partap Singh, ex-Sarpanch Malpur Bhabishan Singh, Naseeb Singh addressed a joint press conference to express their resentment over the proposal of establishing a Toll Plaza on Jammu-Akhnoor Road. While addressing the media they said that the work on establishment of toll plaza is going to start soon on Akhnoor road near Malpur village as per som sources. According to guidelines stated by NHAI toll plaza can be established within 60 km distance but in Jammu one toll is established within 35 km in Sarore another one in Ban (Nagrota) and one is going to be established in Akhnoor jammu road which doesn’t fulfill the criteria as per their own guidelines. They said that the local public will hold huge protest against the establishment of the Toll Plaza as it will adversely affect the local farmers, milkmen and the general public who daily travel from Akhnoor to Jammu and vice versa.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
