| Dir Horticulture reviews projects under PMNAB, VLS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 13: To ensure speedy preparation of various Horticultural related proposals and projects under recently announced Pradhan Mantri Atam Nirbhar Bharat (PMANB) and Vocal for Local Scheme (VLS) feeding through NABARD in different districts of Jammu Division, the Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak chaired a meeting of Chief Horticulture Officers of Jammu Division at Horticulture Complex Talab Tillo, Jammu.
During the meeting, all the officers were asked to submit the Detailed Project reports of their respective districts under Pradhan Mantri Atam Nirbhar scheme including strengthening of infrastructure support in terms of machinery & equipment, structure like cold chain, cold storages, transportation infrastructure etc., at an earliest so that the same shall be submitted to the higher authorities for approval.
The chair stressed upon all the officers to put full efforts to make the Ultra High Density plantation of apple fully success besides achieving all other targets including ongoing civil works in time.
Director Horticulture further advised the officers to make all the public sector nurseries more viable for production of quality planting material so that the state of self-sufficiency could be achieved in near future.
