Govt ignores KPs demands | | | EarlyTimes Report
JAMMU, June 13: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J &K was held here at Jagti under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita today alleging J&K administration and Government of India were ignoring the genuine demands of exiled Kashmiri Pandit migrants. Pandita urged J&KUT administration and Central government to increase the monthly cash assistance of migrant relief holders from Rs13,000 to Rs 25000 as soon as possible because they were unable to meet family expenses in day to day’s skyrocketing inflation. He said that a package of 20,000 Jobs for educated unemployed youth of Kashmiri Pandits should be announced and remaining P M package posts should be also filled up, besides Kashmiri Pandit youth should be also recruited in the police department. Pandita said we have lost a lot of properties for the last over three decades and each family should be compensated for that losd adequately. Since we are the basic inhabitants of Kashmir valley and we should be resettled in Kashmir valley, for which the government should build three sattalite townships in Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag with political empowerment and Minority status. Pandita appealed to the Lt Governor ,G C Murmu that Kashmiri Pandits who are working under Prime Minister’s employment package should be deployed to migrant offices in Jammu until there prevails peace.
