Allot equal posts for Kashmir, Jammu regions: Citizens’ Forum
6/13/2020 9:19:41 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 13: Citizens’ Forum has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allot equal number of posts in Jammu as well as Kashmir regions for recruitment in J&K UT against the vacant posts once for the sake of non-discrimination of Jammu region.
President Citizens’ Forum R K Chadha said that we strongly condemn the “Special Recruitment Rules” for filling up vacant class 4 posts in all departments and thus brought an end to the division and district specific requirements. In addition this practice will also be followed in respect of Gazetted and non-Gazetted posts in future. The provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act 2010 have been thrown to the winds.
Chadha while reminding the PM Modi he had promised at the time of abrogating Article 370 that an equal share in all jobs, development and infrastructure for both the regions will be provided. “We would like to draw your kind attention that your party in Jammu and its advisors from center are more interested in appeasing the Kashmir Centric politicians and doing nothing for Jammu. We requested for Advisory Councils of non-political experienced persons selected from each Districts and we heard an Advisory council of friendly Kashmir Centric Party is in the offing with the courtesy of your party functionaries. People of Jammu are always with the center and will remain in all conditions but not subservient to any political party which has no preference for them,” said Chadha.
