ADGP Armed J&K convenes meeting of Commandants 6/15/2020 11:04:49 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 15: ADGP Armed J&K convened and chaired a meeting of Commandants (COs) of Jammu based AP/ IR battalions. The meeting was convened in connection with significant briefings on COVID-19 guidelines, leave of Police Personnel, relocation of manpower and other administrative & welfare issues of jawans. During the meeting all the points were discussed threadbare and necessary directions issued on spot. The COs also raised several issues of their respective units during the meeting for which after deliberations appropriate instructions were issued. During the meeting the stress was laid upon leave going personnel and follow-up of COVID-19 guidelines on their part. The ADGP AK Choudahry asked the Commandants to ensure that any Police Personnel who proceeds on leave from one Zone to other or Red to orange/Green Zone is properly quarantined for the prescribed period and tested for coronavirus on his arrival from leave. Further, the ADGP instructed the COs’ that the leave going and other unit personnel should be regularly briefed about the COVID-19 guidelines issued by Govt. to prevent spread of Coronavirus. Several other issues discussed and deliberated upon during the meeting including strengthening of Law & Order Coys, establishment of quarantine centers in unit headquarters and facilities to be provided to the Police Personnel quarantined in different quarantine centers manned by the Police Department. He stressed upon the COs’ that they should personally ensure that the facilities provided to the quarantined Police Personnel in different quarantine centers are up to the mark & hygienic. Besides issues pertaining to denial of permission to Police Personnel to cross Jawahar Tunnel while proceeding to or returning from leave was also discussed during the meeting.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
