EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 21: Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) has appealed the people in general and Muslim brethren in particular to abide by the guidelines of the Government, issued from time to time.
In a statement issued here today, chairman JMF Shuja Zaffar said that even though, the government has eased the restrictions, but one should maintain standard protocol of washing hands on regular basis, using of hand sanitizers and maintaining social distancing while doing their day to day work. He also appealed Muslims to maintain safe distance while offering Namaaz in mosques.
He expressed his concern that spreading of Coronavirus pandemic has gained momentum, therefore, it is essential to take extra precautions to avoid it. He also stressed that an awareness campaign should be launched at Mohalla level, so that most of the people stay safe from this disease. While going out of their houses, the people should wear masks and avoid shaking hands. The shopkeepers should keep hand sanitizers in their shops, so that every customer is sanitized before entering the shop. He appealed the government to obtain more PPE kits, masks, gloves etc because the number of positive cases in Jammu Province is increasing day by day. He also advocated for installing of sanitizing tunnels at public places as a part of better health care.
While condoling the death of 20 Indian soldiers during the standoff in Galwan valley, he said that Muslims of Jammu stand with the country. If this standoff is not resolved soon, there are chances of war and UT of Jammu & Kashmir will be the worst sufferer. He prayed that good sense prevails and everything is resolved amicably.
