Sikh community expresses resentment over neglect in JKPSC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 25: Several Sikh organizations have condemned and expressed serious concern over ignoring Sikh community in the appointment of J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC) members by LG of J&K UT. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, Chairman SGPB, DGPC Jammu and many others said the minority Sikh community is being continuously discriminated in every sphere in J&K. Wazir while addressing a joint press conference today along with other Sikh leaders informed that previously one Sikh member has always been there in JKPSC, but now the total neglect of Sikh community has badly hurt the genuine fundamental aspirations of Sikhs particularly young generation, who is feeling being alienated in every sphere. He said that already we are striving for minority status reservation and reservation of constituencies for minority Sikh community in J&K UT, but now this total neglect in new JKPSC formation is against the spirit of "Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas" slogan of Central Govt. Sikh leaders while lodging strong protest and resentment with the J&K UT administration, disclosed that they have decided to sound Jathedar Shri Akal Takhat Amritsar over this discrimination with the minority Sikh community in J&K UT. |
