JAMMU, June 26: On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, IGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh launched an online portal https://drugsfreejammu.nic.net.in providing feature of online reporting and information related to drug abuse, sale and usage of narcotic drugs here today at Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu .
DIG JKS Range Bhim Sen Tuti and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil were present on the occasion. The main features of the portal are online initiative to make #DrugsFreeJammu, online platform for people to report various offence and information related to drugs and drug abuse. People can also report shipment/ transportation of drugs, storage of drugs, usage of drugs, elling of Drugs and promoting drugs usage.
The platform provides users with information regarding harmful effects of drugs as well. The special feature of the platform is identity of person giving information is kept confidential in all the process.
