Tehsildar conducts market checking of Kishtwar town

KISHTWAR, July 3: On the directions of District Magistrate Kishtwar a team of officers headed by Tehsildar Kishtwar, Pramod Kumar today conducted market checking at Kishtwar Town and vicinity. The team comprising Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar (prob), Imtiyaz Ul Hassan, Tehsil Supply Officer, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Suresh Kumar, Inspector Legal Metrology, Officials of Food Safety Department besides Police officials checked various establishments in the market. The inspection team checked the quality, hygienic condition, expiry and rate lists etc of Food items and other essential commodities.
During the market checking the Vegetables/Fruits Shops were inspected and the unhygienic/rotten vegetables/fruits/expired items were destroyed on the spot.
Besides, an amount of Rs 5300 which included Rs 2700 imposed by FCS&CA Department, Rs 1100/- realised by Legal Metrology Department and Rs 1500/- for not wearing masks at public places has been realized from the erring shopkeepers and violators on the spot.
Furthermore, all the shopkeepers were also cautioned of stringent legal action, if they were found violating the lockdown instructions of social distance/ not wearing masks and other mandatory directions issued by district administration from time to time.
