WP Refugees hail Modi after getting domicile certificate | | | Early times report
Udhampur, July 16: The around 15 West Pakistan Refugees at Majalta here were with all praises for the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi after they were given domicile certificates today. “I have been living here for the last 70 years and we were longing to cast votes and get government jobs but hope was dying in us as the then governments were in no mood to fulfill our demands of citizenship,” Deyan Singh, Ex-Serviceman told this reporter after getting the domicile certificate. He further said that now his grant children may get government jobs in J&K which was his long cherished dream. Singh has been living in Majalta and is a Panch there but 70 years back he moved from Tesil Tarapur, Shakar Garh now in Pakistani as there was a threat to the lives of Hindu minorities there after the partition. More refugees hailed the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A . However, the refugees also hailed the Tehsildar Majalta for issuing the domicile certificate without any hindrance and cooperated them fully by making them aware on rules to get the domicile certificate. When contacted Tehsildar Majalta, Saqib Saleem said domicile certificate is a right of these refugees now and he has done everything as per law.
