| TMF lauds media’s role in fight against corona | | |

JAMMU, July 20: Media is a major source through which government and various NGOs are able to make a connect with the general masses for spreading their immediate awareness programmes during the pandemic crisis and lockdown, says Team Mask Force (TMF) chairman Vijay Sharma.
Highlighting the values and importance of media and its Corona warriors who despite all odds were in the forefront to disseminate the crucial information, Sharma said that the herculean efforts of the media persons in this grave situation proved vital as their inputs are required to formulate policy decisions and issuance of necessary SOPs for the prevention of coronavirus infection.
He said that it is no denying the fact that social media also play its part but the truth and authenticity of the information could only be ascertained through print or electronic media to the maximum possible extent.
Sharma urged the Director Information that the daily newspapers reaching out to general masses must therefore be encouraged through fair and uniform policies and not on pick and choose manner. |
