SSP appeals to make selection process in PSC transparent | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 20: Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) has appealed the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu to make the selection process to appoint Chairman and members of Public Service Commission based purely on merit based with complete transparency. Retired colonel SS Pathania said that being a constitutional body JKPSC has to perform a very significant role in selection of suitable candidates for gazetted posts and subsequent promotional aspects of the candidates. “PSC has an onerous responsibility to ensure, that the selection is based purely on merit, is impartial and not under any kind of influence. This can be made possible only when State Government and the PSC are on the same page, wherein best and most promising candidates are selected for the required jobs. People will develop faith on the government only, when the selection process for appointing the Chairman and members is made totally transparent and open wherein, the prospective candidates are appointed on their experience, merit and not under any internal /external influence”, he said.
