BBIA hails Labour department’s self-certification scheme | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 20: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has hailed the JK Labour Department’s self-certification scheme for industries and other establishments. According to press release, a meeting of BBIA was held under the President ship of Lalit Mahajan and was attended by Tarun Singla Sr. Vice President, Ajay Langer Vice President, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Rajesh Jain Secretary and Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA. The meeting thanked LG G.C. Murmu, Advisor to Governor Farooq Khan,, Commissioner/Secretary Labour & Employment Department Saurab Bhagat IAS and other officials for the implementation of self-certification scheme and termed it as a step towards ease of doing business and also providing the hassle free enjoinment to provide relief to the existing unit holders and also to attract new investment in JK under the Atama Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. The main objective of this scheme is to reduce the visit of Government officials for inspection to those units who opt for the scheme without compromising on safety, health, social security and welfare of the workers and self-certification would hold testimony to the fact that these unit do not compromise on safety, health, social security and welfare of the workers. It is pertinent to mention here that Rapid industrialization in JK is the need of the hour to provide employment to the local youths of the State for which we request the Lt. Governor GC Murmu to further Liberalize Labour Laws as already implemented by numbers of State Government to provide the cordial Atmosphere for the prospective Investors in our State.
