| Illicit cutter planner, band saw, timber seized; one arrested in Kishtwar | | |

Kishtwar, July 20: Forest Department Kishtwar in an extraordinary drive against illicit trade of timber has seized an illegal cutter planner, band saw besides some timber from the possession of one Abdul Rashid at Sangrambata.
As per reports, a forest team under the close supervision of DFO Kishtwar, Sagar singh, Range Officer Kishtwar and town staff of Kishtwar Forest Division launched an operation to check illegal cutting of green gold.
During the operation, the team seized illegal cutter planner, band saw besides some timber.
The team also arrested one person, who has been identified as Abdul Rashid at sangrambhata
The arrested person has been booked under the relevant provision of Forest Act and action as warranted under rule has been initiated against him.
The entire illicit stuff has been taken into custody and further necessary action has been taken. |
