| Forest Deptt conducts eviction drive, retrieves 5 kanal land | | |

REASI, July 20: J&K Forest Department, Reasi Forest Division today conducted eviction drive and dismantled one Kaccha Dhara (mud hut) constructed in compartment 17/r, Nagote in block Bhamag of Reasi Forest Range.
In this operation, Forest Department retrieved 5 kanals of forest land from the illegal possession of encroacher.
Forest department official said that land was encroached by some locals of the area. The operation was carried out by the Forest team headed by Block Officer Surinder Singh under the supervision of Range Officer Vijay Verma and Jyotsana, IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Reasi.
The DFO Reasi stated that many more operations will be conducted in future to retrieve the forest land from the illegal possession of encroachers. |
