JAMMU, July 27: Lambasting local MP and Union Minister in PMO for befooling the masses and playing with sentiments of people of Kathua, former Minister and President District Congress Committee Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that Dr Jitendra Singh’s claims of speaking to Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways is mere an eye wash.
Manohar said that in a recent tweet Dr Singh said that he has talked with Minister Nitin Gadkari and asked for a relaxation with monthly pass for people residing within radius of 20 kms of the Toll Post Lakhanpur.
Dr Sharma said that this so-called request through twitter is just a lollipop as this provision already exists and BJP government is befooling common masses. He said monthly pass is also not free as it also costs around Rs 250-300. Manohar further said that BJP is busy in imposing ‘jaziya’ on common masses and said Congress party will not sit quietly unless this Toll plazas be closed and further warned that if within next 15 days Lakhanpur Toll Plaza is not closed then they will be forced to come on roads and block the National Highway for which the administration will be responsible. |
