EARLY TIMES REPORT

POONCH, July 27: Even as the Tehsil Supply Officers, Buffliaz and Balakote were transferred to Balakote in the month of February last, the officials are not ready to relieve the postings and hand over the charge to the new incumbents.
Sources informed Early Times that the TSO Buffliaz, who was also holding the charge of Storekeeper Buffliaz, is not willing to adhere to the transfer orders, adding that some vested interests may be compelling him to refrain from relieving the charge.
“Actually the incumbent TSO, Buffliaz Abdul Majid had to hand over the charge of the post to TSO, Poonch, who was asked to join at Buffliaz as per the transfer order. But Majid has made a complete mockery of the system by refusing to hand over the charge to his replacement,” said sources.
And, adding one more twist to the story is the refusal of TSO Balakote, Abdul Kadir to move to his new place of posting at Mankote.
Sources said that the people of these two blocks are badly suffering due to non-complaince of transfer orders by the concerned officers.
Locals alleged that refusal by both the TSOs to join their respective new places of postings has led to several administrative hiccups. They urged the Lt Governor to order an inquiry into the matter and fix responsibility on the officers for their lapse.
When contacted, AD Food Poonch, Ranjit Singh said the impasse on the postings will be over soon.
