Early Times Report

Jammu, July 27: COVID-19 has thrown another surprise, four friends who stayed together for days and travelled from Srinagar to Kishtwar district, only one of them was found positive on their return.
As per the details available with Early Times, four friends who remained together at Srinagar for more than a week and travelled together from Srinagar to Kishtwar, and also stayed together in a private hotel in self quarantine before their samples for COVID 19 were collected, were surprised when the test report came.
This is not for the first surprise that COVID-19 has thrown in Kishtwar, around three months ago- out of four persons who shared the 10X10 feet rooms for days together in a quarantine center, only one person was found positive.
Opinion of experts is divided over the issue as some claim it could be due to strong immunity of the individual while some believe that social distancing could be the reason or the infected person did not emit the virus in the air. Experts believe added that people should maintain social distancing and wear masks to keep themselves safe.
Meanwhile, officials said that the other three friends are still under quarantine. Their fresh samples will be collected and tested before they will be allowed to go home, they added.
Meanwhile, five members of a sampling team including a doctor and paramedical staff went into self quarantine in Kishtwar District after the majority of the samples they collected were found to be positive.
The team went into self quarantine after they collected samples from worst hit areas of Drabshalla from where majority of the cases were reported today.
