Akhnoor Municipal Committee Councilors call on Executive Engineer PDD | | | Early Times Report
Akhnoor, Aug 18: Rakesh Malhotra Councilor Ward number 6 and Depesh Singh Ward number 11of Akhnoor Municipal Committee today called on Executive Engineer PDD Jammu, Neeraj Sharma at his office in Jammu and apprised him about unscheduled long power cuts and low voltage issues of Akhnoor town especially in the City 2. They said that from last 20days, there were unscheduled power cuts and low voltage at Akhnoor town with the result that people are forced to suffer in summers especially. He demanded improvement of low voltage and Unscheduled Power cuts. Rakesh Malhotra said that low voltage and unscheduled long power cuts have virtually paralyzed life in Akhnoor town especially in Ward number 6, 10, 11, 12. He apprised the Executive Engineer that as per the requirement there is acute shortfall of number of linemen in the area due to which during the faults it took long time to get them repaired. He further apprised him that PDD department in Akhnoor is lacking basic infrastructures like stair case, repairing kits etc which is also a major drawback of the department. Depesh Singh while talking to the Executive Engineer has demanded for new electric cables in the town which are yet to be replaced. He further apprised him that a 250 KW transformer in Village Daskal is unable to bear the load of highly populated village thus need to be upgraded up to 400KW. He said department should immediately provide infrastructure to the PDD office Akhnoor and demanded that at least 10 more linemen should be immediately deployed at Akhnoor with immediate effect. Executive Engineer Neeraj Sharma assured both the councilors for early redressal and telephonically asked AEE PDD Akhnoor to take up the matter at the earliest. |
