Jammu, Aug 18: Farmer Training Centre, Department of Agriculture, Jammu has organized one day special camp at village Gho Brahmana. The camp was inaugurated by Ram Paul Sharma, Sarpanch panchayat halqa Gho Brahmana with a welcome note. Agriculture Information Officer Rajiv Verma and Training Officer Yog Raj Singh Slathia were the resource person during the occasion. During the camp, the resource persons encouraged farmers of area to use vermi compost fertilizer and sow advanced varieties of wheat and paddy to increase crop output. They also motivated farmers for been keeping, cultivating spices, flowers and fruits to increase their income. The officials of agriculture department also distributed farming tool among the farmers. Sarpanch Ram Paul Sharma ensured the maintenance of COVID-19 guidelines during the programme and urged the Govt. officials to organize more and more such programs for welfare of farmers. In addition to many farmers, prominent people who were present during the camp were panches Parshotam Singh, Sat Pal, Samsher Singh, Rajni Sharma, Trishla Devi, Agriculture Extension Assistant Sumit Dutta, Lambaddaar Sham Singh and Chowkidaar Vinod Kumar. |
