| 16 bovines rescued, 3 arrested | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Aug 20: District Police Samba have foiled another attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 16 bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
A Police team from Police Station Ghagwal, while performing vehicle checking duty at naka NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal signaled to stop a truck bearing Regd. No. PB13Y/6951 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the said vehicle, 16 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which was being transported to valley without any permission. The accused driver identified as Paramjeet Singh son of Puran singh alongwith his associate Shamsher Singh son of Harjinder Singh both resident of Batala Punjab have been arrested. All the cattle were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting bovines was also seized on spot. In this regard, a case FIR No. 89/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation taken up. |
