| GDC Akhnoor organizes National level collage making competition | | |

Akhnoor, Aug 20: Department of Botany,GDC Akhnoor today organized an online Collage making Competition on the theme “Know your plant diversity” under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Namarta. The main objective of organizing such an event was to make the students well aware of the plant diversity in their vicinity. The students from different institutions of J&K UTas well as from other states participated with great enthusiasm in the competition in which Sapna Mankotia of GCW Gandhinagar, Jammu and Anu Sharma of GDC Akhnoor bagged 1st position and 2nd position was clinched by Tahir Mustafa of Aligarh Muslim University and Priya Sharma of GDC Akhnoor where as Sakshi Raina of Cluster University of Jammu and Mannat Sharma of GDC Akhnoor shared 3rd position. After the completion of the event, e-certificates were awarded to the participants. The Principal of the College Dr. Namarta appreciated Prof. Indeevar Chanyal,Convener and HOD Botany and Prof Yogesh Sharma, Organising secretary for organizing this event. The Principal also applauded the participants for overwhelming enthusiasm in taking part in this Collage making Competition and appreciated the role of the Department of Botany for organising this event. |
