JK UT nine other states contribute 89% of coronavirus death: TMF 8/29/2020 11:23:23 PM EArly Times Report Jammu, August 29: Central Govt in a press communique declared that 89% of total deaths related to Corona during last two weeks account for from JKUT & Nine other states including Maharashtra, TN, Karnataka, Gujrat, UP, W.Bengal, Punjab etc. This was disclosed by Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gaube & Union Health secretary Rajesh Bhushan in a video conference with the Chief Secretaries and Health Secretary of the affected states &JKUT to assess the situation in the regions. The center has asked them to ramp up testing and tracing to tackle the coronavirus Pandemic amid concerns about increasing Covid-19 deaths. Team Mask Force chairman vijay Sharma warned the Authorities of JKUT to strictly and seriously take up the task according to schedule of decision taken and Published or notified on priority. It was further advised that at least 80%of the fresh Covid-19 cases, all close contacts must be traced and tested with 72 hours and minimum of 140 tests per million per day conducted in all Districts while targeting a positivity/ confirmation rate of less than 5% a health ministry statement said. India is struggling to contain epidemic and it has the highest tally of infections surpassing Europe & USA in the world this week added Sharma quoting CNN reports. Noted Neurologist Dr.Sushil Razdan in an interview attributed the same in JKUT to the diligence attitude of Law enforcing Authorities concerned responsible for implementation of Norms .The seriousness with which both central Govt has taken up the task needs to be monitored time & again to contain the community spread in the country so that number of deaths do not rise .The wearing of Mask has to be understood so as not to spread the droplets of infection and can't be considered like wearing of helmets by Pillion Riders.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
